BCU podcast-100 celebration talk: stewardship, procrastination and boundaries.

Hey 👋🏾 there BCU Family!

Typically, you have the option of listening to our podcast, reading the notes or both. For this post, because of the interview, please tune into the podcast recording. We pray the post blesses and encourages you.  If so, please thumbs up or leave a comment! Thank you and enjoy the post!

The BCU 100-podcast celebration-conversation continues where I answer your questions, fielded by my fellow teacher, sister and friend, Jewel Taylor.  In our 100th podcast, among other things, we talked about the start of the  BCU ministry and what it takes it keep it (and any other ministry) going.  In our second installment, we talked about what was difficult about the keeping the ministry going and started talking about the Dispensations.

In our last segment, we ended up talking/teaching about how precious the time is that God gives us, and how we are to steward* over it properly, as it’s a commodity we often realize (in many cases, too late), that we cannot get back.  This round, we’ll continue our talk on timing/stewardship, talk about boundaries, and round up the third Dispensation– Human Government.

The BCU 100-podcast celebration-conversation continues where I answer your questions, fielded by my dear friend and sister, Jewel Taylor. Last time, among other things, we talked about the start of the  BCU ministry and what it takes it keep it (and any other ministry) going. If you missed it or want to re-listen, please click here.

Below are the podcast questions we answered this round.  If you don’t see your question, keep BlenCouragesU.com close by notification-wise, as we’re planning to continue this series throughout the month of October.

  • What is the most difficult thing about keeping the ministry going?
  • What are the dispensations? (Because of time constraints and the sheer depth of this awesome question, we talked very broadly about this topic. Please take a look here for a more in-depth information).
  • I also mentioned a BCU podcast that covered if we should be paying attention to the people who don’t clap for you when you win. Take a listen here.

Hey 👋🏾 there BCU Family!

Well BCU Fam, we are celebrating 100 podcast episodes—to God be the GLORY!!!
So, for this podcast we are answering your questions and my friend and sister, Jewel Taylor is asking me those questions interview-style. You all may remember Jewel from her teaching series on forgiveness which included Jonah and Joseph! That study was amazing and is well worth a re-listen!

Below are the podcast questions we answered this round.  If you don’t see your question, please keep BlenCouragesU.com close by notification-wise, as we’re planning to continue this series throughout the month of October!

  • How and when did this ministry start?

  • How did you know it was time to go forward with what the God had given you to do?

  • How did you transition from potential to actualization? So many people live excitedly on their ‘potential’ in God, but what needs to transpire from living in the ‘potential’ to actually doing what God has for you to do?

Click below for the podcast and stay tuned to the BlenCouragesU social media accounts for our giveaways for the week of October 23, 2017-October 27, 2017.

A lesson from an ice cream cone.

Hey 👋🏾 there BCU Family!

Typically, you have the option of listening to our podcast, reading the notes or both. For this post, because of the conversational story, please tune into the podcast recording and refer to the written post for the corresponding Scriptures. We pray the post blesses and encourages you.  If so, please thumbs up or leave a comment! Thank you and enjoy the post!

For those who know me personally, you know I have a thing about going out for ice cream. I think it had to do with a unfortunate incident with losing that ice cream cone when I was a kid! LOLOL!!! (If you know the story,  you can post it in the comments) 🙂

Anyway, while the creamy dessert was a minor indulgence, the Lord used it to teach me a BIG heart lesson. Click below to listen in.

Scriptures to meditate on:

…The little foxes, that spoil the vines… (Song of Solomon 2:15).

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked–who can know it? (Jeremiah 17:9).

…Man looks on the outer appearance, but God looks on the heart. (I Samuel 16:7).

Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23).

For the word of God is quick and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit  and of the joints and marrow , and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart (Hebrews 4:12).

And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men, knowing that of the Lord, you shall receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve Christ the Lord (Colossians 4:23).

So, BCU Fam, what’s your reaction to the podcast? What about the quote, “When you go to do something, when you do it, be sure to do it and NOT look for something in return?” What else resonated with you?  Please scroll on down to the comments section and let’s continue our conversation!

In the meantime, if you have not subscribed to BlenCouragesU.com, please do so! It’s free and a good place to get the encouragement, inspiration and information based the Word of God! Additionally, you can also see what we are up to on Facebook, Twitter Instagram, and  YouTube! You can also listen in and subscribe to the podcast on Stitcher Radio , Google Play, and iTunes/Apple podcasts!
