Podcast highlights:

  • While many of us know the Lord, there are times when we feel afraid, lonely, defeated, attacked or just depleted.
  • At the time of this podcast I was having a bit of a valley experience (yes, it happens to me, too). I honestly “wrassled” with recording—I didn’t feel like it and wanted to just be sad in the valley.
  • The Lord urged me to go on and record and am I glad He blessed me to be obedient. By the time the Lord took me through His Word, I felt SO much lighter and refreshed–glory to God! I pray you are encouraged as well!

Psalm 91

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;

10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

Podcast highlights:

  • In this post/podcast, we celebrate episode number 200! God be glorified!
  • I was raised in the church, saved in my early adulthood, and knew all about the five-fold ministry (Ephesians 4:11), but had no aspirations in doing anything besides being in the choir.
  • I was a low-key kind of sister and liked it that way. Obviously, God had other plans. 😶
  • The Lord strategically used my job as a training camp, proving ground and direct link to show me where I was tasked to serve His people.

Isn’t God good? And on that note, I want to thank God for all of you and your prayerful support, likes, shares, and comments on our posts/ social media sites. In all things…giving thanks.

Podcast highlights:

  • A recent situation sneaked up on me and completely frustrated my spirit.
  • In the midst of that, the Lord spoke His word to my heart to calm me down.
  • The Lord ended up working out the situation quickly, efficiently UNDER  budget and on-time.
  • Giving thanks was a HUGE part of why God worked things out the way He did.

Scripture references:

“In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” (I Thessalonians 5:18).

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God (Philippians 4:6).

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9).

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint (Isaiah 40:31).

And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear (Isaiah 65:24).

Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days.40 Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?
Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.
And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.
And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.
And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go. (John 11:40-44).

So, BCU Fam, what do you think about out topic? Have you ever just stopped to give God praise without asking for anything? What about giving God thanks through those tough situations? Let’s chat some more about that in our comments section below!

“Put your foot on it..” (Part 2)

  • Last time we were together, I shared part 1 of of the message, “Put your foot on it” by Bishop Jason Nelson.
  • The main theme of the message is that there is a blessing (and NO, not just material—that is not our focus) in being obedient to God’s intentional plan for our lives–and sometimes that means we need to leave the familiar and comfortable.
  • It’s time to start moving, BCUFam! Listen in!!!

Scripture reference:

  1. Now after the death of Moses the servant of the Lord it came to pass, that the Lord spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ minister, saying,
  2. Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.
  3. Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.
  4. From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast.
  5. There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
  6. Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.
  7. Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.
  8. This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
  9. Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” (Joshua‬ ‭1:1-9‬).

How much did this word bless you, BCUFam? I’m STILL excited about what the Lord said! I’d love to know what resonated with you! Please head to the comments section below and let’s chat some more!

  • I attended the International Bibleway convocation a few weeks ago and one of the many highlights was a sermon preached by gospel recording artist Bishop Jason Nelson.
