Podcast highlights:
- I have been an instructor for many years—–teaching many types of classes and people on a regular basis.
- In my “housekeeping” portions of class, I verbally and visually outline the criterion to receive credit for the session.
- One student escalated a request to receive their class credit almost immediately after class concluded.
- The Lord used this situation as a test for my response to the individual, and to teach me lesson about listening, waiting and trusting what He says.
Scripture references:
19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
Isaiah 40:31
31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
5 Every word of God is pure: He is a shield unto them that put their trust in Him.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.
24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.
5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
BCUFam, I can relate to the client in terms of anxiousness and concern about waiting for a promise. When we feel that way, rather than lean to our own understanding, we can to go back to what the Word of God says and trust He will take care of whatever the situation is. Amen? Amen! Let’s pray!
