  • Salvation starts at Acts 2:38–that is the ONLY way to Jesus.
  • After that, the Lord will reveal other areas where we need deliverance from.
  • This is where “living the life” for life comes in.

But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

Salvation goes past dress code, not smoking or drinking. There are other standards God wants us to walk out.

BCUFam, I truly to thank God for giving me a heart, mind, and passion to want to please Him in all areas of my life. I’d be less than truthful if I said it was always easy, I always get it right or that it feels good to the natural side of my being. Being obedient to God requires humility and sacrifice——but because we love Him, we keep His commandments and they are not grievous to us (See I John 5:2-3). We can do all God requires with His help. Amen? Amen!

He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed?… (Acts 19:2).

“….we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God”(Acts 2:11).

BCUFam, I’d be less than truthful if I told you that the last 30 years have been a smooth, silky walk in the park of a life. Salvation does not guarantee a stress-free life–in fact, Jesus said, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33). So while trying times are a part of the walk with Christ, we can be of good cheer because of Jesus has everything under control. And even when we “feel” that tribulation, we can call on Jesus in prayer at ANYTIME day or night. We can come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. (Hebrews 4:16).

When you have the Holy Ghost, Jesus lives down on the inside of you—leading, guiding, comforting, chastening and loving on you all the while. Along with so many wonderful things about Jesus, He is a heart-fixer, mind-regulator, heavy-load bearer, tear-dryer, attitude-adjuster, company-keeper, battle-axe, The lover of our soul, a Fence around us, A Rock in a weary land, a Shelter in a time of storm, A Sword, A Shield, and The Everlasting Father that always supports all His children! Who would not want to know a God like this?

If you are saved according to Acts 2:38, stay, stay, stay with Jesus! If not, today is your day to repent (be godly sorry for all your sins). Then ask the Lord to send you to a church that will be baptize you in Jesus name for the remission of those sins. Finally, ask Jesus to fill you with the gift of the Holy Ghost. The initial evidence will be you speaking in tongues–just like in Acts 2! Please note, that after repentance, the Holy Ghost may come in before you get baptized–especially if your heart is ready to receive it. Just be sure to follow up with the baptism. Singles Chalkboard: Silly women FINALE

  • So, we must understand not only what a silly woman is, but what to look out for, so we do not fall for the “okie-doke”.

  • Previously, we the why of the post along with verses 1 & 2. Then we took an in-depth look at verse 3 and then onto verse 4.  Last time, we talked through verses 5, 6, & 7. Let’s overview all verses including 8 and 9!

So BCU Family once again, I have to confess that this subject is not one that is comfortable. No one wants to be or admit that they are silly–it can feel like an putting down of women, if not viewed in the right way.  Truth be told, when we look at the news, around the lives of our friends and family and even ourselves, many women have been or are are still being held captive.

We’re here to expose the enemy so we can avoid and escape captivity in the freeing and POWERFUL name of Jesus! Day 4 and beyond…

 Hey 👋🏾 there BCU Family!

Many of us just celebrated the triumphant resurrection of Jesus Christ–you know, the recitations (that’s what we called the “Easter” speeches back in my day), the songs, skits, plays and preached word proclaiming the victory now have because Jesus rose, just like He said He would.

What do we do now?

The reason I ask the question is because of those us who celebrate Jesus on appointed holidays, many of us we spend more time in preparing before and cleaning up after. Hence, we miss listening to and applying the message that God is trying to get across to us. Then we’re struggling and/or defeated until Pentecost Sunday, the next convention, revival or seminar as we look from a Word from God. But we’re so busy preparing, we miss the Word. See the cycle?

We’re not doing that anymore!

Let’s apply the Word of God on day 4 and beyond!

Podcast highlights:

  • While preparation is needful, if we’re not mindful, the prep can take our minds over so much so, we can miss out on hearing (see Romans 10:17), and applying the Word of God.
  • When our spiritual bank is empty, we start to draw off the enemy’s account which is full of lies (John 8:44) and accusations (Revelation 12:10), and become paralyzed and overcome with fear, guilt and shame, thereby rendering us helpless in the work of God.
  • Jesus reminds is what He did for us on the cross in the book of Colossians. Applying this word reminds us of how victorious we are LONG AFTER the celebrations are over.

10) And ye are complete in Him, [Christ] which is the head of all principality and power:

11) In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:

12) Buried with Him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with Him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised Him from the dead.

13) And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath He quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

14) Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

15) And having spoiled principalities and powers, He made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

BCU Fam, lack of Word application can happen to anyone, myself included. As a matter of fact, my intention was to record this podcast earlier, but I could not seem to get it done. Why? The Lord had to take me through a test where I needed to apply His word over the lies of the enemy. Have you had this experience?  How did you handle it?
